WHY FLAWED IMAGES
"Every picture is flawed, by definition. A picture is a spark of reality recorded in a very short fraction of time. Setting the shutter at 1/1000 of second, we need 60.000 frames to get a single minute of life. So, saying that one picture represents "the reality" is like to say that a single printed word summarizes the significance of an entire book. However, often, something happens. Thanks to a face, a color, a shade, a detail… a picture speaks as no other form of expression is able to do. When it happens, a fraction of second of life becomes a whole story. That “spark” passes through the lens of our emotions and, driven by the sensitivity of each of us, is turned for ever in an interpretation of that moment. And there is nothing left to do other than remaining amazed, sometime shocked, by this little miracle. Sure, interpretations may be different from each other, as none of us is equal to another one. The catch of such "sparks" is what today we call Photography, a vaste world without clear boundaries. Personally, I’m attracted by several sides of such world. It's a world I'm still exploring, with respect, receiving great satisfaction in exchange. Faces, colors... in this website you'll find a selection of my works, hopefully representative of my journey. Be aware: all my pictures are flawed, of course."
